Callalily is back with their rendition of "Minsan"

Callalily is a poprock band started in mid-2000s. Their hit single "Magbalik"  of the album Destination XYZ became a doorway for them to acquire fame in the OPM industry. Their other single includes "Take my Hand", "Stars", "Pasan" and "Susundan".

Their singles Gabay, Nananaginip and Liwanag of the album "Callalily" also make it to the charts. Callalily were composed of A.K.L.A.T. but in 2010, their drummer Alden Acosta leave the band to focus in his studies and to become a drummer for a new band.  Lemuel Belaro replaced Alden as a drummer. The other three continued their role, Tatsi for lead guitar, Aaron Ricafrente for the bass and Kean Cipriano for the vocals and guitar.

Three years after the release of their self-titled album "Callalily". The band came back with a new single for the The Reunion album and this is their revival of an Eraserheads classic, "Minsan".

Minsan is a song about friendship and it tells us that 'even the time goes on, we must not forget our past comrades because they became our true friends once'.

Callalily's rendition of Minsan topped the MYX Pinoy Countdown last week and currently still on the Daily Top 10.

  2. I also like their songs. It's hard for most bands to stay intact.

  10. all credits to the eraserheads.. hypnotizing talaga ang kanta at music nila kahit sino pa ang kumanta.. hahaha.. I just do not see the point for a professional band.. hitting the charts using others songs.. ang dami dito sa pinas and they even have a full album just by covering songs.. hihihi.. i respect the calalily but coming back after long years gone should have been an original song and with a bang.. hihih

  15. It seems I am very out of touch with the OPM music scene. Living here in Europe for almost 2 decades now. Quiet interesting to read about musicians, which perhaps were not even born yet when I left the Philippines!

The revival/remake of Eraserhead song is a good tribute.

  16. Same here, not abreast with OPM in the past few years coz foreign artists kept on springing up like mushrooms.. Hope OPM can be revived like it used to be.

  21. Awesome blog! Do you have any tips and hints for aspiring writers?
I'm planning to start my own website soon but I'm a little lost on everything.
Would you advise starting with a free platform like Wordpress or go for a paid
option? There are so many options out there that I'm completely confused .. Any recommendations? Many thanks!
